CONCORD, N.H. —  New Hampshire Republican State Committee Chairman Scott Maltzie released the following statement in response to the announcement by New Hampshire Democratic Party that former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg will headline its Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner:

“Pete Buttigieg was a bad Mayor, a dangerously awful Transportation Secretary, and will be a horrible Presidential candidate,” said NHGOP Chairman Scott Maltzie. “The DNC stole the First-in-the-Nation Primary from New Hampshire, and now their consolation prize to New Hampshire Democrats is dumping Pete Buttigieg on their marquee dinner. It speaks to how little national Democrats think of New Hampshire voters.”

“Granite Staters haven’t forgotten his record as Transportation Secretary. From the holiday travel meltdown that stranded millions of travelers to an EV charging program that fell far behind schedule, Buttigieg left behind a disastrous record.”

“Chris Pappas supported the same agenda in Congress. Now, Pappas wants a promotion to the United States Senate, and New Hampshire Democrats are bringing in another failed national Democrat in the hopes that he can boost Pappas’ chances in November.”
